Terms of Service

Last updated: March 30, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using LawLyft. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the LawLyft platform, website, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using LawLyft, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Description of Service

LawLyft is a legal technology platform that connects individuals and businesses with licensed attorneys. Our Service includes:

  • AI-powered lawyer matching based on practice area, location, and case details
  • Lawyer search and discovery tools
  • Appointment scheduling and management
  • Secure messaging between clients and lawyers
  • Payment processing for legal consultations
  • Emergency legal assistance connections
  • Corporate account management for companies and law firms

Important: LawLyft is a platform that facilitates connections between clients and lawyers. We do not provide legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed through use of the platform itself.

3. User Accounts & Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We offer different account types: Client accounts, Lawyer accounts (requiring valid bar license verification), and Corporate accounts (for companies and law firms).

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers and networks
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Collect or harvest personal information of other users without consent
  • Submit false reviews, ratings, or testimonials
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission

For Lawyers: You are solely responsible for maintaining an active and valid bar license. You must comply with all applicable rules of professional conduct in your jurisdiction. LawLyft does not supervise or control the legal services provided by attorneys on the platform.

5. Payment Terms

LawLyft facilitates payment processing for legal consultations through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. By booking a consultation, you agree to:

  • Pay the stated consultation fee at the time of booking
  • Payment is authorized (held) at booking and captured upon lawyer acceptance
  • If a lawyer declines the appointment, the held funds are released back to you
  • Emergency consultations include an additional $150 surcharge for priority response
  • Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis

Lawyers set their own consultation fees. LawLyft may charge a platform service fee. All fees are displayed before you confirm a booking. Prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).

6. Intellectual Property

The LawLyft platform, including its design, logos, text, graphics, software, and all other content, is the property of LawLyft and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal or business purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LawLyft and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Any loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service
  • The quality, accuracy, or outcome of any legal services obtained through the platform
  • Any interactions, disputes, or agreements between clients and lawyers
  • Service interruptions, errors, or security breaches beyond our reasonable control

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

  • Mediation: If informal resolution fails, disputes may be submitted to mediation before a mutually agreed-upon mediator
  • Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles
  • Venue: Any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Fulton County, Georgia

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or any applicable laws
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Requests by law enforcement or government agencies

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
